Getting the Fusion’s 20,000 mile service. AMA.
They had two GT350s

How much over MSRP?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:44 |

I didn’t see any markups actually.
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:46 |

Where is this? Everywhere I’ve looked is asking around 10-15K markup

Remarkable/sensible! Dealer mark-ups are probably one of the things most alien to me (as a European) when I look at the US car market. Well, that, and the fact that most of you guys buy from the lot.

I don’t recommend standing in front of that.

Bommarito Ford in St. Louis. I’m gonna look online to see if maybe I just missed it on the sticker.
Edit: nope, all four here are selling at sticker.

How’s the interior trim on the Fusion holding up?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:49 |

are you driving home in that?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:51 |

Good actually. The dealer fixed all the issues we found early on.

If only.

Happy to hear that, sometimes a good dealer can really make the difference.

When wiping after a poop, do you sit or stand?
Toilet paper: under or over?
Do you squeeze the toothpaste from the back of the tube or the middle like a heathen?
Do you pee in the shower?
Do you take your phone with you to the toilet? If so, what app(s) do you browse?

Sit wtf
Over
Roll the end
No
Oppo, Facebook, Instagram

Will they let you test drive an ST to kill some time?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:58 |

Do they still sell new Flexus?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 14:59 |

Despite have four GT350s, the dealer doesn't have a single ST in stock. Focus or Fiesta.

I can attest to that. I’ve written about this on Oppo before, but I’ve got to mention it again. Not all dealerships are bad. When I lived in California, our family favorite Honda dealership tried to overcharge me a fuckton for coolant hoses that I didn’t need ($900 for a $250 job). But when I moved to Oregon for college, the dealership I went to a couple of times was nothing short of fantastic. They genuinely cared about their customers. I took my car there twice for electrical issues. The second time, after they recharged my battery and diagnosed my electrical issue, they fixed it for free and only charged me for the battery recharge. They knocked $10 off the bill because it took a long time to recharge the battery. Genuinely good dealership. Haven’t had any electrical issues since.

That’s interesting. I stand when I wipe. I can see why some people would sit, but for me, standing has always been easier for me. I get more leverage on the toilet paper.

They do.
![]() 06/06/2016 at 15:02 |

What are they asking for them? Markup?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 15:03 |

No markup. The light grey one is $58k.

Thank god...

What trim is your Fusion, and how do like it after 20,000?
![]() 06/06/2016 at 15:35 |

It’s not mine sadly, my mom’s. It's an SE 2.0L EcoBoost FWD and I really like it. Drives better than any mainstream midsizer has the right to.

no gt350“R” no care

The dealer I bought my FiST from had no Fiesta ST’s, 2 GT350s, and a bunch of Irish stuff. The FiST is a difficult car to find to test drive. I just happened to be surfing and dreaming online one day when I discovered one near me. I didn’t buy that one, but it sold me on the car.

My local dealer didn’t mark up theirs.

Nice to hear! The wife and I were doing some car shopping today and only managed to test drive the new Cruze. We liked the Fusion as well though and will test drive both the 1.5T and 2.0T on Saturday.

That actually seems like a reasonable price.

Too bad I contacted them about ordering one on a 2017 allocation and was told $7500 over MSRP. I fucking hate dealers...
![]() 06/08/2016 at 18:41 |
|
If you don’t mine me asking, what is your local dealer? I’ve been trying to find a 2017 allocation to order on, but the lowest I’ve been quoted is $5k over MSRP; OP’s dealership wants $7500 over, haha.

How much was the estimate for the Fusion’s hail damage fix?
![]() 06/08/2016 at 19:02 |
|
IIRC, $1000. For three dents. Damn aluminum hood.
![]() 06/08/2016 at 19:03 |
|
Holy crap.
Most people at my work had estimates of 2-3k, but their cars had dents all over. I hid mine under the gas station awning next door.

Her co-worker’s new Sedona had over $4k worth of damage to it.
![]() 06/08/2016 at 19:12 |

Damn.
A fried of a coworker had her car totaled out due to the hail. $6,000 worth of damage on a 2006 Honda Accord with 90k miles.

Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington, SC. They don’t have them any more, but were sticker.
